Abstract
Two decades ago,
Executive Director of the UN Environment Programme (UNEP) in Ecology and the
Global Forum on Poverty, Dhaka, 22-24 July 1993, said: "Our world is on
the edge of destruction because of human activity. Around the planet, natural
resources plundered too far." A variety of ways solving the problems of
the environmental crisis that is now engulfing the entire world.Various
attempts have been made since the outbreak of the issue of global environment
in the 1960s. Current activity is Asia Conference on Ocean, Food Security and
Blue Growth (ACOFB) in Bali last June 2013. Sonny Keraf (2002) said:
"...... Environmental issues are moral issues, issues perspective or
understanding of the nature of the error that led to the problem
behavior". According to Arne Naes, today's environmental crisis can only
be solved by changing the point of view of nature and human behavior, including
the pattern of our lives are responsible for instilling environmental ethic to
future generations who would utilize and take on the responsibility to manage
the environment. A fundamental shift in perspective and radical needed as a
pattern or a new lifestyle that is not only about individuals, but also society
as a whole culture. Through education, and social movements, which synergized
with various parties such as the government sector and the economic sector,
would grow the environment ethical behavior and habits, to develop the Blue
Economy in Indonesia.
